Yara Shahidi appointed global ambassador for the Dior brand
Yara Shahidi has a new haute couture rendezvous to add to her CV: the face of Dior!
As noted by WWD, the Cultivated-ish star is one of the many celebrities and models selected to be global brand ambassadors for the luxury fashion house. Yara will represent both beauty and Dior clothing as part of its partnership with the brand. To announce her new role, Yara shared the news on her Instagram account, posting a short video of her posing in a full Dior look next to a pond. “Can you spot the new Dior GLOBAL ambassador for beauty AND fashion? ” she wrote. Yara will be joined in her new role by BLACKPINK member Jisoo, actor Nina Dobrev, model Iris Law, and more.
Yara has worn Dior several times in the past. Recently, she shared photos and videos of Dior fits like this logo look, and she also wore Dior Haute Couture to the Critics’ Choice Awards.
WWD also notes that Yara and Dior have already joined forces; the actor and activist took part in their Dior Stands with Women initiative on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Under the creative direction of Maria Grazia Chiuri, the legendary fashion house has raised its voice on women’s empowerment and activism, making Yara the perfect fit for the brand.
