Louis Vuitton commemorates the 200th anniversary of its founder
With the special Louis 200 campaign, the legacy of the founder of Louis Vuitton is celebrated in exceptional detail.
“200 years ago, in France, a visionary was born”, one reads in a press release. “His innovative ideas revolutionized leather goods and elevated travel to the rank of Art de Vivre.
The month-long campaign is designed as a multi-format way to mark the 200th anniversary of Vuitton’s birth and will see the brand’s steadfast heritage explored creatively across everything from integrated video games to NFTs. to a new documentary premiering later this year on Apple TV +.
The campaign kicked off on August 4 with the launch of Louis: the game, which is currently available on the App Store and Google Play. On the same day, a fleet of uniquely reinvented trunks, from contributors such as Theo Curin, BTS, Mr. Flower Fantastic and many more, began to be unveiled around the world via shop windows. In total, 200 different creatives contributed to reimagined designs.
Other aspects of the ongoing Louis 200 celebration include a fictional novel by Caroline Brognard, a triptych by Alex Katz, and more.
